The Challenge
Withings has been bringing smart devices to market for many years, including its most intelligent hybrid smartwatch – the ScanWatch, so when it gave Tandem the challenge of launching a new, diver style design version of its much-loved wearable, we had to rise above our usual tech and health contacts and ensure the reporters that wrote about design, style, and luxury were targeted.
The Solution
We focused our campaign on the stylish new design that, when combined with the leading-edge health technology of the regular ScanWatch, made the ScanWatch Horizon the most desirable and smartest piece of ‘jewelry’ that everyone needed. This much style called for a stylish launch – Tandem hired out the rooftop bar at the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meat Packing District in New York, a location that suited the product. We invited along reporters from leading media outlets that covered fashion, style, luxury brands, lifestyle, and technology.
The Result
Following our initial pitch and invite, more than 120 media RSVP’d to the event, and over 75% physically attended on the date itself.
ScanWatch Horizon was extremely well received by the media across all industries and firmly established itself as a stylish and luxurious wearable that oozed class and delivered great health and medical features.
Since its launch, ScanWatch Horizon has achieved more than 150 pieces of coverage and has been featured in a variety of high-end publications, including Fashion Reverie, Yanko Design, Forbes, TechCrunch, and more!
